Rapper Tru Life, a former protege of Jay-Z, may have gained some street credibility but not in a good way. The rapper is facing eight years in prison for a New York stabbing that left one victim dead and another in critical condition.
Tru Life, real name Robert Rosado Jr., pled guilty to second-degree gang assault in the stabbing death of 20-year-old Christopher Guerrero, the New York Daily News reports.
Tru Life’s brother, Marcus Rosado, pled guilty in the same case to manslaughter and faces 10 years in prison.
There was initially a question about just who stabbed the victims. Tru Life’s brother came forward to accept responsibility.
