Here is one of those things that is so obvious, you would think it just wouldn’t be worth mentioning. Seems though, it bears repeating. If you are in the middle of a contentious divorce and/or custody battle, do not miss a court ordered drug test. Even if you are on the beach in St. Barts and it just kinda slipped your mind.

Supermodel Stephanie Seymour, in the middle of a major custody fight with ex-husband business mogul Peter Brant, was ordered by the court to undergo a mandatory drug test. Unfortunately, Seymour decided to emulate actress Lindsay Lohan, and couldn’t make it in to court due to the fact she was on vacation with two of her children. Seymour claims that she did not see the emails from her (also now ex-) lawyer, presumably reminding her she had a court-ordered tests to perform.

It is just this kind of testimony that would push a court to order mandatory drug testing. Additionally, the Post writes that Peter Brant’s lawyers now want Seymour to be banned from drinking as well.

As always, there are two sides to the coin (or in this case, the 100 dollar bill). According to the New York Post, Brant too is required to undergo testing as part of the custody and divorce proceedings.
