Rapper 50 Cent, or Curtis Jackson, is suing his longtime rival Rick Ross for copyright infringement, according to TMZ. This lawsuit is part of a series of musical, legal, and personal battles between the two that spans years and has gotten 50 in some pretty serious trouble recently. Now 50 Cent is saying Rick Ross, or William Roberts, infringed his copyright for the hit “In Da Club,” using it without permission to freestyle jabs at 50 Cent when the song’s creator lost a lawsuit....

All “situation” jokes aside, there is reportedly a unfortunate state of affairs brewing between the cast of “Jersey Shore,” the break-out MTV reality show, and the show’s producers. Like so many in the business, the issue is money and who is supposedly getting more and who is not getting what they were promised. Allegedly. According to USAToday, the bulk of the cast, including JWoww, Ronnie, Sammi, Pauly D and Vinny is seemingly on strike, refusing to film until the contract issues are sorted out....

Apparently failure to do so has grave consequences and the company is now recalling the deadly dressers. A recent decision in the civil case against Conan O’Brien is no laughing matter for the late night host. Writer Alex Kaseberg filed suit in 2015 over a series of jokes that he claims were stolen from his blog and Twitter feed. The federal judge hearing the copyright infringement claims ruled that three of the five allegedly infringing jokes can proceed to trial. Kaseberg, who writes a comedy blog, alleged that Conan O’Brien, as well as others, stole and published his jokes....

Researchers in Sweden and Japan have found a new gonorrhea superbug. This strain of gonorrhea’s antibiotic resistance means that it survives treatment from cephalosporin-class antibiotics, the last known antibiotic treatment for gonorrhea. This new superbug was found in the throat of a sex worker in Japan. Only a few infections by this new superbug have been detected. The new strain has been dubbed H041. However, now researchers are worried that the superbug - with its antibiotic resistance - may be able to spread quickly, causing widespread public health problems, reports the Los Angeles Times....

According to law enforcement officials in Illinois, creating a sex ranking list of female high school students and posting and distributing the list a crime. An Oak Park River Forest High School student, 17, was arrested recently for posting the offensive list last January. The list ranked the girls’ sexual performances, described their body parts, and contained offensive and derogatory language. Not only was the list posted online on Facebook, but was also distributed to students during their lunch break before school officials caught wind of the situation, reports the Chicago Sun-Times....

Jodi Arias is guilty of first degree murder in the killing of her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander, an Arizona jury found Wednesday. The sentencing phase of her trial is next. Five of the 12 jurors voted to convict Arias, 32, of first-degree premeditated murder, while seven jurors felt she was guilty of both premeditated and first-degree felony murder, according to the verdict form that was read aloud in court. That means all 12 jurors found Arias guilty of first-degree murder....
