Jennifer O’Neill, a former roommate and friend of the singer, worked for Lady Gaga for over a year as her assistant – but allegedly had to wait on her 24 hours a day without getting a dime of overtime. A judge recently ruled that O’Neill’s case can proceed to trial because it’s possible that she’s entitled to overtime compensation....

Authorities have named the suspect in the fatal Las Vegas shooting that led to the deaths of three people. Police believe that 26-year-old Ammar Asim Faruq Harris was the trigger man in the black Range Rover responsible for the shooting last week, reports CNN. The Range Rover had pulled up to a Maserati at an intersection on the Vegas strip. Harris is believed to have opened fire, killing aspiring rapper Kenny Clutch in the Maserati....

Renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz has her legal close-up today when a $24 million loan that she secured in 2008 from Art Capital Group, Inc. (‘ACG’) and its afilliate, American Photography, LLC is due to be repaid. It doesn’t appear that this is the kind of focus that Leibovitz needs right now. Former restaurateur Joshua Woodward has been charged with attempted murder for allegedly inducing his girlfriend to miscarry. The 40-year-old Woodward, who formerly owned upscale restaurants in Los Angeles and Miami, allegedly tried to kill the unborn baby four times in September and October 2009, reports The Associated Press. Prosecutors say that Woodward used the drug misoprostol on his then-girlfriend. The drug has been known to terminate early-stage pregnancies. If convicted of the attempted murder charges, Woodward could face life imprisonment....

HLN host Nancy Grace has been saddled with a defamation lawsuit for airing a “selfie stalker” story, even after police told her the allegations were false. The man Grace accused of being the “selfie stalker,” Benjamin Seibert, is suing for more than $100,000 in damages, claiming that Grace and others published false allegations about him. According to the New York Post, Seibert was accused of invading a woman’s home and taking a selfie on her phone....

The Supreme Court on Monday refused to hear a challenge to New York City’s rent control law. In doing so, the Second Circuit’s 2011 decision to dismiss the case has been affirmed. That suit was brought by James and Jeanne Harmon, owners of an apartment building that is partially subjected to the city’s rent stabilization measures. They claim the NYC rent control law unconstitutionally deprives them of their property without just compensation....

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued an O-Grill recall. The small portable gas grills are manufactured in China by Uni-O Industries, Corp. The federal agency has received at least 10 reports of the grills catching fire, though no injuries or property damage occurred. The screw-on propane canisters have been found to leak gas, posing a fire and burn hazard. Unlike newer models, the grills lack ventilation slots where a propane canister or fuel line can connect on the side....

A Virginia couple faces criminal charges for their children’s constant tardiness to school, in a case that spotlights state truancy laws. Mark Denicore, the children’s father and an attorney, may even lose his law license. Denicore and his wife Amy, of Waterford, Va., were arraigned Feb. 6 for their children’s tardiness. The Denicores’ three kids, all under age 10, have been late to school 85 times since September, the local Loudon Times reports....

It seems that the wagons are circling around Four Loko Energy Drink. According to Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., the controversial drinks will soon be banned.
