Scoring points for creativity, but not for intelligence, a pair of Oklahoma women were arrested on felony charges after being caught shoplifting at TJ Maxx. The women, Ailene Brown and Shmeco Thomas allegedly stuffed the items underneath their breasts and body fat.
Ailene Brown and Shmeco Thomas are accused of trying to walk out with $2,600 of merchandise at the store but were caught red handed. That’s quite a lot of money for a TJ Maxx isn’t it?
All together they attempted to make off with four pairs of boots, three pairs of jeans, a wallet and a pair of gloves. The pair was also apprehended with a knife, which they allegedly used to cut off the store security tags.
The pair are now facing felony larceny charges. Grand larceny is felonious larceny of property having a value greater than an amount fixed by law. In other words, when you steal something small, like a pack of gum, you’re charged with simple larceny or petty larceny. But when you get nabbed stuffing several pairs of expensive boots and jeans under your breasts, you’re going down for grand larceny.
