The B-list actress behind the IMDb lawsuit has revealed her name: Huang Hoang. Hoang, who goes by the stage name Junie Hoang, is 40 years old.

She sued after IMDb published her birthdate and real name.

Hoang kept her birthdate private in order to have more of a chance at securing younger roles. She also went by the more Westernized moniker of “Junie Hoang” to avoid potential discrimination or disadvantage.

After she sued anonymously last year, the case was dismissed. But Hoang re-filed last Friday, according to the New York Daily News.

There are several different forms of invasion of privacy. One form is when a defendant publicly discloses private facts about the plaintiff. Defendants can be held liable if the information revealed is not of public concern and would be offensive to the reasonable person if made public.

Another form of invasion of privacy occurs when a defendant intrudes on the plaintiff’s solitude or private affairs. Snooping through private documents – like credit card information – could qualify.
